Our Teenage Project this year tackled the topic of Transition. Young people took part in workshops to discuss their transitions and to describe their strengths and resources to help them through the next steps towards their futures.
They talked about their hopes and dreams for the future.

We welcomed two new Role Models to the team who helped in the workshops and welcomed families as they arrived for the AGM, dinner and National Network Day.

At the AGM, we discussed the future of 1Voice, including exciting developments for branches around the country. We welcomed two new committee members onto the board.
After the AGM, everyone dressed up for dinner...

... and there was a chance to meet new people...

... as well as partying with old friends...

and the disco went on until well into the night!

On Sunday, we held our national network day.
In the morning, there was face painting, sports, arts and crafts, and a chance for parents to talk with the Role Models. The Role Models gave fabulous speeches about their experiences of transition. Serious points were made, but often with humour that had the audience crying with laughter!
After an indoor barbeque lunch, the teenagers gave very professional presentatioins about themselves and their hopes for their transitions.
There was just time for final farewells before the day ended - until the next one!
We even managed a group photo this year!
